Durham Wildlife Trust wants to inspire and excite people of all ages in nature and the great outdoors. 

We deliver a wide range of outdoor education including habitat studies on our nature reserves, Forest Schools, developing school grounds, creating wildlife documentaries, outdoor art, exploring trees and woodland and learning how to care for our local wildlife. Our education sessions are linked to the national curriculum and tailored to the objectives and requirements of each group.

Dunolly Adventure Outdoors is an established activity centre in Highland Perthshire that offers residential weeks, weekends, and non-residential activity days.

We welcome Primary and Secondary schools, Colleges and universities, scouting and guiding groups, charity organisations, and also adult groups. We also run activity camps at various times throughout the year for children to come away by themselves. With a strong base of returning schools and groups and an excellent safety record, Dunolly is an ideal place for any group.

We have been operating since 2007 and are currently a 60-acre traditional mixed working farm with beef cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. A well as being a real working farm, we also have zoo status, recognising our commitment to the welfare and conservation of exotic species. We are able to provide a unique educational experience for schools because we are not open to the public during term time.

We have cows, sheep, pigs, reindeer, donkeys, raccoons, skunks, owls, alpacas, rabbits, chicks, emus, goats to name but a few.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. As well as rehoming dogs from one of our 20 Rehoming Centres, a large part of our work is to focus on Responsible Dog Ownership and Safety Around Dogs education. Dogs Trust Education Officers are available to deliver FREE interactive and engaging workshops to primary schools throughout the UK. The key messages surround themes of ‘Caring for Dogs’, ‘Responsible Dog Ownership’ and ‘How to Stay Safe Around Dogs’. They are linked to the National Curriculum supporting literacy, numeracy, citizenship, science and more!

An award-winning attraction with plenty for everyone to see and do, including our huge indoor adventure play area ‘DINOMITE’, plenty of animal handling sessions, large outdoor play areas, the Secret Animal Garden and Deer Safari, as well as the Dinosaur Trail and Neanderthal Walk.

Let them play, jump and climb to their heart’s content in DINOMITE – with 3 levels of indoor adventure play and a special area dedicated to the under 5s. DINOMITE also houses a 130-seater coffee shop, so the adults don’t miss out on the fun either!

Based on the hit TV series, CSI: The Experience offers students and teachers alike the opportunity to partake in a hands-on, lab-based criminal case analysis. The experience is both entertaining and educational and introduces students to forensic science, which is made up of many different areas of expertise including physics, biology and chemistry. 

The attraction brings to life, fundamental scientific principles, numerous scientific disciplines and the most advanced technology and techniques used today by crime scene investigators and forensic scientists.

Now into our 25th year as a family run farm attraction, all the animals and staff at Court Farm are looking forward to welcoming hoards of children and their families for a fun packed summer of fun. With lots of new, baby animals mixed with a range of great play facilities that can tire out even the most energetic of kids (and adults), we hope that all our visitors, regardless of age, will have a day to remember. Don't forget that we have lots of things going on during the year so whenever you come, you may well see some new additions.
