Team Building Company Fined After Serious Injury on the A45

An adventure activity and team building organisation has been fined after a child was hit by a car seriously injured whilst on a school trip.

Birmingham Magistrates’ Court were told that on 31 March 2017, a group of teenage students were participating in a walking expedition on the outskirts of Birmingham. The route chosen, meant the group and their adult supervisor, had to cross the busy A45 dual carriageway near Meriden, West Midlands, at around 4pm.

Student Denied Trip to Alton Towers Because of a Consent Form Mix-up

Doon Academy student Samuel Wise, 14, rushed back from his Grandmother’s funeral in Coventry – an eight hour journey – only to be turned away from the trip to Alton Towers, because there was a problem with his consent form.

His mother, Karen told the press: “We struggle financially. I’m not able to work since I broke my back so as soon as we got the letter I had to put a couple of pounds back here and there. One week we only had £5 for the whole week”.

A recent poll of 1600 teachers has revealed that the French exchange could be becoming a thing of the past.  

What was once a typical part of school life – students spending a week with a French family and then returning the favour in the UK – is becoming less and less popular. The British Council report, points the finger at “safeguarding culture” as one of the reasons why just  25% of state secondary schools now offer exchanges, down from 29% last year and 30% in 2014.

Student Banned From School Trip After Prank

Amir Hussain, a student at Eden Boys’ School, Bolton has told he will no longer be allowed to go on a £400 trip to Morocco after an incident on his final day at school.

Amir,16, had just finished his final day at school, when a group of boys started messing around throwing eggs and flour over each other. Following the incident, some damage was discovered to a staff member’s car and now he and the other boys involved, have been banned from their end of year trip to Morocco as well as their end of school party.

Pupil and Teacher Allegedly Assaulted on School Trip in London

A teacher and pupil from Ardrossan Academy in Ayrshire were allegedly assaulted on a school trip in London by an unknown woman.

Police officers were called to the Wembley International Hotel, shortly after midnight on Saturday, June 15, following reports of an incident.

It was reported that a woman entered the hotel uninvited where she allegedly assaulted a 16 year old male pupil and a 44-year-old female teacher, who was left with bald patches on her head following the violent attack.

A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.
