ER Outdoors are running a two day non-residential course in Plas Pencelli, Brecon which aims to get participants experimenting with outdoor learning techniques in a safe environment. It is a chance to discover the theory behind good facilitation and to try new techniques, exchange ideas and spend time reflecting on your own practice. You will be able to explore a manual full of suggestions and exercises designed by the Institute for Outdoor Learning. Course leader Lun Roberts, a Leading Practitioner of the Institute for Outdoor Learning, has been described as having “a real talent for getting alongside each individual to help them identify and work towards their own learning objectives”. The course focuses on topics from creating a safe learning environment to reviewing. Bookings for the course can be made via Lun Roberts by email: lunroberts@gmail.com or by phone: 07878596720.
Additionally, the Institute for Outdoor Learning Wales are running a free Reflective Practice Workshop on multiple dates at various venues which focus on how reflective practice can improve performance and make life more fun. The next date is 18th February in Plas Pencelli. For more information and to book the workshop, see here.
