A viral video shows a black girl being assaulted by a white woman in a corridor.

Police in Iceland are investigating after a British schoolgirl was slapped and chased by a tour guide in a hotel corridor.

The schoolgirl, 13, who attended Harris Girls’ Academy, was assaulted whilst on a school trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. The incident occurred at Hotel Örk, Hveragerdi on 13th October.

After the video was posted, it quickly went viral, drawing in thousands of views online. It flared concern about the child’s well-being while she was staying in the hotel for a trip that was to last four days.

The sequence of events in the video consist of the child telling the woman, who is standing next to her with a finger in her face, “Please don’t come near me”.

The adult responds by slapping the girl, who runs away and is chased. The girls’ school, Harris Girls’ Academy, contacted Icelandic Police who investigated the scene and interviewed the woman but no arrests have been made.

The Harris Federation, the governing body for Harris Girls’ Academy, has since confirmed that the tour guide is in no way affiliated with the school and have reported her to local enforcement authorities.
