Welsh Assembly
Welsh Assembly
The Welsh Government is the devolved Government for Wales. It takes on many of the functions of the UK Parliament.
We are working to help improve the lives of people in Wales and make our nation a better place in which to live and work.
Pre-booked guided tours are available, free of charge, at the Senedd in Cardiff Bay (seven days a week)
Tours of the Senedd, Cardiff Bay
Pre-booked groups of visitors are welcomed at the Senedd and shown around the unique landmark building by Tour Guides. It may also be possible to meet Assembly Members, if this is requested beforehand and subject to their availability.
On business days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), visitors are shown the Neuadd, Oriel, Committee gallery and Siambr gallery. Presentations focus on the sustainable features of the building as well as the workings of the Assembly and last about an hour. A tour does not automatically include seats for Plenary sessions or Committee meetings. If these are required, they should be booked separately, which can be done up to three weeks in advance.
On non-business days, and during recess, groups of 20 and under are given the added option of visiting the Cwrt and the Siambr.
The Assembly Shop in Cardiff Bay offers visitors a range of National Assembly branded souvenirs and gifts from Wales.
