Oxford

Oxford is renowned for its rich history and heritage. Famous for the prestigious Oxford University, the city is home to its thirty eight colleges. With a literary heritage including WH Auden, Iris Murdoch, CS Lewis, Grahame Green, JRR Tolkein (follow the Tolkien Trail) and of course Colin Dexter (visit many locations where Inspector Morse and Sergeant Lewis solved cases), it is the perfect location for English or History trips. It is also a hub for the Law and Justice, although many visitors include a punt on the river Thames (known locally as the Isis) as part of their visit.

Oxford also boasts other famous historic buildings such as the Radcliffe Camera, Sheldonian Theatre, Bodleian Library and Bridge of Sighs. Many of the city's museums including the Oxford Castle and Science Oxford are free, so why not take advantage?
