Milton Keynes Museum

Milton Keynes Museum

Try the working period telephones and switchboards. Visit the Victorian Parlour and Schoolroom. Listen to an air raid in the Museum's Anderson Shelter. Make toast in the period kitchen. Visit the street of period shops. Visit the Hall of Transport.

It is located on the outskirts of Wolverton, one of the UK's original "railway towns". Today the buildings overlook the "new city" of Milton Keynes but when they were built they were in the middle of the countryside.

The Museum's local social history collections allow visitors to experience the areas domestic, industrial, agricultural and transport heritage. Housed in a beautiful Victorian Farmstead, our large and constantly changing selection of displays have something for all the family.

Visit the street of period shops; Victorian room settings; working period telephones and switchboards; Hall of Transport; try your hand at brass rubbing, listen to an air raid in the museum's Anderson Shelter or make toast the old fashioned way in our working period kitchen.
