Midland Air Museum
Midland Air Museum
Midland Air Museum's exhibits range from the magnificent Avro Vulcan bomber through more than 30 other historic aircraft, both civil and military, aero engines and other artefacts, to a wide range of memorabilia.
The Midland Air Museum as it is today represents many years of dedicated commitment by our volunteers and staff who have helped to establish one of the country's leading self-funded independent aviation museums.
We believe it is very important that our museum provides the opportunity for visitors of all ages to experience the world of aviation in a friendly and informal environment.
Cockpit visits are always free - there is no additional charge to pay. Of course we won't say no if you want to donate a little something towards the upkeep of our exhibits.
For those visitors unable to access the mezzanine level galleries and aircraft interiors, we have a 12-minute long film that gives you a tour through the galleries and the interiors of the Vulcan and Argos.
Educational Visits
The Museum is ideally suited to educational visits by school parties or other organised groups; our Education Centre, guided tours and worksheet packs are available by prior arrangement. These have been tailored to the requirements of the National Curriculum.
We also have an outreach programme where we visit schools, putting on presentations and bringing along relevant exhibits.
