College Lake Environmental Education Centre

Welcome to our beautiful nature reserve created on the site of an old chalk quarry. Watch out for the wildlife that makes its home in the varied habitats of wetland, chalk grassland and woodland. Discover that whatever the season, College Lake is the ideal place to visit for a day of learning outside the classroom. Our schools programme provides hands-on opportunities for children to experience a magical learning adventure on the nature reserve.

Open year-round for pre-booked Primary school groups. Our schools' programme includes sessions for Early Years, KS1 and KS2 pupils. Choose from day-long sessions including: Teddy Bears Picnic, Habitat Safari, Geology Rocks, Home Sweet Home and Earth Caretakers. We are also able to provide Outreach sessions at your school with our 'Go Wild at Your School' assemblies and workshops.
