Newham City Farm
Newham City Farm
Newham City Farm is one of London's longest established, as well as one of its largest city farms.
They are home to an extensive range of farmyard favourites and rare breeds – from a huge Shire Horse to tiny birds as well as cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens, rabbits, fish, a peacock and even a harris hawk.
There is much more to see at the farm than just the animals: there is an orchard, an early years childrens play area and picnic benches opposite a cafe and an indoor play barn is coming soon. Special events run throughout the year so make sure you check the events calendar too.
School Visits
Newham City Farm works closely with local schools to help children to learn about all aspects of wildlife, agriculture and plant life. From a self-guided tour to curriculum-specific workshops, the farm offers a fantastic resource for Outdoor Learning. Our workshops are very popular and give children hands-on experience of every aspect of farm life in a practical and fun setting.
Schools and community groups are always welcome to visit the farm - for which we will charge a minimal amount.
