Hereford Cathedral
Hereford Cathedral
Welcome to Hereford Cathedral. This beautiful building is the home of a community which has worshipped and worked together here continuously for well over 1200 years.
It is a place where the mission of the church to proclaim Christ's love is central, and therefore the community has always warmly welcomed visitors. We all hope that you enjoy your visit.
Educational visits for schools and colleges are an important part of the work of the cathedral. We welcome students of all ages and invite them to experience the very special atmosphere of our cathedral building where prayer is still offered today, as it has been over the centuries.
Primary Schools
High Schools
Our standard visits for KS3 pupils complement programmes of study for Religious Studies and History, and we also organise bespoke conferences to support GCSE Religious Studies. Additionally the cathedral offers opportunities for learning outside the classroom in many other subject areas including Maths, Science, English and Art. We are always happy to help teachers plan their own visits.
Sixth Forms, Colleges and Universities
Our library and archive facilities are available for A level, degree level, and post graduate study. Additionally, we offer a skills based visit for students studying A level Medieval History, which focuses on the Hereford Mappa Mundi.
Sixth Form Conference
We regularly hold conferences for sixth form students. For information about our next conference, please contact the education department, details below.
