Lichfield Cathedral

Lichfield Cathedral offers excellence in learning outside the classroom, for which we hold both the Heritage Education Trust’s prestigious Sandford Award and Ofsted’s Learning Outside the Classroom badge.

Through a range of interactive and multi-sensory tours, we offer pupils at key stages 1-3 experiences of awe and wonder in a sacred space and the tools to reflect appropriately on them.

We are able to deliver specific learning outcomes requested by schools, and are skilled at focussing the content of school visits according to pupil age and ability, or curriculum focus. Volunteer ‘Lead Guides’ will help to prepare the visit by liaising closely with you beforehand.
