All Saints' Church
All Saints' Church
All Saints is a Parish Church in the Church of England serving the central area of Gosforth. It is a diverse, friendly and inclusive church community of about 400 people that seeks to explore, live and share the love of God and the good news of Jesus in a variety of ways.
We offer a number of styles of worship from formal choral liturgy to modern informal worship and provide a range of discussion, learning and social activities to suit all ages. While our major services are on Sundays, there is also a regular pattern of prayer, worship and other activities, along with a regular programme of silent meditations, group discussions, social activities and excursions. It’s a busy mix, but All Saints’ seeks to give people – all people – space both to question and to try to understand the meaning of religious faith.
Our Children’s and Youth Worker, Tom Onions, leads our midweek groups for children and young people between the ages of 7 and 18, as well as our Sunday morning programme for 12-18s.
EVOLUTION is for children in school years 3-6 (age 7-11) and runs every Tuesday during term time in the church hall from 6-7.15pm.
R-GROUP is for young people in school years 7 and 8 (age 11-13) and runs alternate Wednesdays during term time in the Upper Room of the church hall from 7-8.30pm.
OTAS is for young people in school years 9-13 (age 13-18) and runs alternate Wednesdays during term time in the Upper Room of the church hall from 7.30-9pm.
SOS (Slightly Older Saints) is for young people age 12-18 and normally runs two Sundays per month during the 9.30am church service. We leave church after we have heard the Gospel reading, and return in time to receive communion or a blessing
