Birdworld
Birdworld
Education at Birdworld is about so much more than just birds! Underwater World and the Jenny Wren Farm are also a great way of ensuring that learning about classification and animal diversity is fun and engaging for everyone.
As well as dedicated school visit programmes there are daily penguin feeding talks, an exciting Owl Prowl, the Safari Train Ride, the popular Discovery Theatre bird show and the outdoor flying display (fair weather only). During these talks and shows our birds demonstrate their adaptations to their own natural habitats in a way designed to capture both interest and the imagination. Sessions are approximately 40 minutes long. Workshops are limited to 90 children, tours are limited to 30 children.
Our Education Team
We have a dedicated, enthusiastic full-time education team who love nothing more than making learning fun. The team is always on hand to answer questions, enthuse and inspire our young visitors.
Here at Birdworld, we understand the importance of making school trips fun, but also educational. We are proud of our education programme that covers both requirements in a fun-filled day! With a dedicated education department, Birdworld strives to make education fun and exciting by bringing live animals into the equation! Nothing makes children learn better about the natural environment than seeing it right in front of their eyes!
Something for every age-group!
Whether it’s a workshop in our Discovery Theatre or a guided tour around the park, we’re sure that our varied range of science based topics, tailored specifically to the national curriculum, will be able to satisfy teachers and children across all age groups.
