Collection includes two aircraft of the Queen's Royal Flight, the World Speed Record Holder G-Lynx, Russian Hind Gunship and the 'Huey' Bell UH-1H.

The Helicopter Museum has three main objectives when working on the helicopters in the collection:
- To retain the aircraft’s originality and authenticity
- To save the aircraft for future years
- To prepare the aircraft for exhibition
Conservation work on the aircraft is carried out entirely by volunteers in their spare time. The work is rewarding and the museum undertakes to provide small and large projects to fit in with the needs of the volunteers.

Are you looking for an interesting and educational venue for your School Trip?
The Helicopter Museum provides a unique insight into engineering and aircraft, and can cater to any age group who may wish to visit - from Infant School to University Students.
Your group will receive Tour Guides, Open Cockpit Access, private use of our class room, activity sheets & questionnaires, flight simulator use plus access to the Museum, Interactive Zone, outdoor play area & gift shop.

The Helicopter Museum has a spacious modern lecture theatre with DVD & Video projection, interactive white board presentation facilities, direct laptop projection link and internet connection.
