Come and see our wonderful collection of fashions dating from the early 18th century to the 1970's. Lime Tree House is a beautiful Georgian house built by John and William Bastard after the great fire of Blandford in 1731.
Schools
Children's Activities
Younger visitors can follow a trail and complete a quiz sheet. In the dressing-up area children can try on a replica crinoline and corset.
The Resources Room
This room can be booked, at no extra cost, for up to four students to conduct hands- on, detailed study. The standard entry fee applies. Click here for a booking form.
Study Days
Items from the museum’s extensive handling collection are available for study days in the Lecture Room. This can accommodate up to 25 students. At an additional cost a member of the museum staff can assist with the study day. Group booking arrangements apply
Suitcases
These are available for schools to hire on a weekly basis. A suitcase will contain items from the handling collection and the contents can be tailored to specific projects and age ranges. Contact the Education Officer for details
