The Borders home of the Duke of Buccleuch contains an internationally renowned art collection, including works by Canaletto, Van Dyck, and Gainsborough. There are relics of Queen Victoria, Monmouth and Sir Walter Scott as well as silver, porcelain, tapestries and French furniture. The Victorian Kitchen is on show and the 72 seat lecture theatre is in use for the full education programme and free school visits.
