Amazona Zoo

Amazona Zoo

Amazona Zoo is one of Norfolk’s most fun days out and provides a full day of action-packed adventure and discovery for the whole family.

See animals being fed, learn about the history of South America, get up close and personal with reptiles in the Tropical House or grab a bite to eat at the Jungle Cafe. Brave explorers can visit the feline forest with jaguar, ocelot and pumas. Chatter with the parrots and marvel at the monkey acrobatics. NEW this year we’ve also got five creepy crawly tarantulas and a cute Guinea Pig Village.

The Under 12’s can monkey around in our large, well-equipped  indoor soft play area Jungle Tumbles and outside we’ve got a large outdoor play area Rainforest Springs and two NEW jumping pillows for hours of Braziliant bouncing fun!

Look out for our new wood carvings; an impressive tortoise and our puma-shaped bench – both beautiful works of art. We’ve planted lots of bulbs throughout the grounds so spot the seasonal snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells as you tour the zoo.

ur new Yurt is the hub for educating visitors and includes the history of South America and facts about the animals who call Amazona home. We want to inspire the conservationists of the future!

We make learning interesting and bring wildlife and conservation issues to life into a unique learning experience to make a school trip they’ll always remember.

Share our passion for the natural world, hear fun facts and figures, see our amazing artefacts and learn about different habitats and creatures that populate South America.

The zoo is packed with educational material from the animals to our entertaining animal feeds. Feel free to ask questions to any of our keepers as you see them around the zoo.

Group Bookings

School and club parties are welcome. Reduced rates and other concessions are available. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Feeding Times

Come along and see the animals being fed by our dedicated zoo keepers. There are at least four ‘feed the animal’ events a day, with jaguar and pumas on alternate days.  For times see our feeding boards at the zoo. While we love having visitors come along to our feeds, please do not feed the animals yourselves.
