Emma Bridgewater Factory

Emma Bridgewater Factory

Join us in the historic Potteries: take a tour of our atmospheric Victorian factory, see our beautiful wares being made, then try your hand at decorating your own pot in our studio. Relax in the cafe, wander in the walled garden, then shop for factory seconds or delightful gifts.

Factory Tours

Meet Bill the platemaker, Mary the fettler and Karen the sponge decorator as you journey through the world of pottery making. It's a journey back in time as you are guided through the Victorian building and learn about traditional skills which have become a modern pottery phenomenon. Educational and inspirational, a tour of the Emma Bridgewater factory makes a wonderful day out for all ages.

Our knowledgeable guides take you through the production of our world famous pottery. Tours last around 45 minutes and cost just £2.50 (children 16 years old and under are FREE). You can redeem the £2.50 cost of your tour against any lovely produce you buy in the factory shop or gift shop (minimum spend £12.95).

Sharing the Emma Bridgewater story with larger groups, clubs and organisation is one of our tour guides favourite things. To get the best out of this experience, we recommend groups of no more than 20. You can also combine your visit with morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and decorating studio packages. Call Zoe on 01782 201328 to talk through your tailor-made visit.

Decorating Studio

We know that Emma Bridgewater fans are a creative bunch, from the youngest children to grandparents, so we'll help you put those talents to good use in our bright and inspiring decorating studio. Choose a classic piece of our pottery then make it your own. Our expert helpers will take you through the decorating process step by step to help you design a masterpiece to be proud of.
