Forest of Dean Model Village

Veiled underneath the drape of woody shades, the miniature forest offers an enthralling combination of history humor and entertainment. The Miniature Forest Model Village was a laudable initiative by the local people of Lydney, Gloucestershire, in which they contribute their unique ideas and precious time in maintaining and developing the place as an eminent tourist attraction near the Forest of Dean. With limited funds and resources, this beautiful miniature village started its journey in the world of fun and amusement. Local suppliers and model makers have significantly contributed their effort and talent in this improvised project.

The major attraction of the Forest of Dean model village is the miniature forest created to depict the interesting topography of the Forest of Dean area. A large open section is dedicated to exciting style elements, from folklore and jungle themes. To retain that perfect charm, local building and landmarks have been created as replicas. The height of these miniature buildings is one foot at maximum. You can find local people (only 6″ in height!) clad in their normal attire bustling around the area accomplishing their daily chores. The wood laden vast area can be explored on a miniature railway track!

The Forest model village is a great venue for kids’ parties and get – togethers. There is a lot to explore and enjoy in this recreational setup. A well – organized picnic area, inflated ride and a cozy cafe increase its appeal to visitors many times over.
