Orielton Field Centre is ideally placed to explore the diverse environments & habitats that Pembrokeshire has to offer. As a centre we cater for University Groups, Schools and leisure learners. You can take advantage of our first class tuition or just use the centre as a base for your activities. Geographers, we use our dramatic coast to look and coastal processes, management and spectacular geomorphology. The Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park provides case studies for honey-pot tourism and conflicts. The Preseli Mountains are the source of the Afon Syfynwy, basis of our river studies. We use local settlements for interesting studies into urban inequality, rurality and re-branding. For Biology we have a diverse range of outstanding marine and terrestrial habitats all within easy reach of the centre. With most sites under 20 mins away, you spend more time learning.
An impressive Georgian mansion with over 100 acres of mixed woodland, Orielton is located just three miles from Pembroke on the Castlemartin Peninsular and approximately 1.5miles from the Pembrokeshire National Park boundary, Britain's only genuine coastal National Park. The proximity to the coast provides a vast array of habitats, landscapes and settlements that form the basis of many of Orielton's activities.
