Glamorgan Cricket Tours at SWALEC Stadium & CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket

Glamorgan Cricket can offer a very flexible package on non match days involving a combination of the following – a tour of the world’s 100th Test Match venue, with visits to the changing rooms, players area and Media Centre; a visit to the award-winning CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket a chance to play on BATIO, their wii-based cricket simulation; an opportunity to link into curriculum-based learning activities using the CricEd package; an introduction to cricket with a fun, skills-drills session with a staff coach or, for those who already play the game, a more advanced coaching session in the National Cricket Centre. A separate package is available on match days.

Glamorgan Cricket is very proud to have an award-winning Museum and Learning Centre which embraces interactive and award-winning technology to produce a memorable and enjoyable visit.

Our visitor programme caters for the complete novice and those who have never played the game as well as those with more advanced skills. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff have been praised for their interaction and delivery skills with visitors from a variety of backgrounds, whilst we can usually offer on-site parking and a highly flexible package all year round, both on weekdays, and at weekends. Moreover, the learning modules as far as the CricEd programme is concerned have been developed by practicing teachers.

Outlined above tells what Glamorgan Cricket can offer on non-match days. During domestic matches an additional range of activities is available, including “Watch and Play” – a chance to watch a match free of charge and to have coaching in the National Cricket Centre from a staff coach; plus “Watch and Write” – a fun way to improve literacy skills, with groups watching and writing about a game, before having a skills drills session in the National Cricket Centre.
