Gloucester Cathedral

Gloucester Cathedral

Education and outreach are important parts of the Cathedral's mission.  Henry VIII's Charter which established the Cathedral required the Cathedral to be a place of learning, and led to the creation of the King's School.  Today we continue with this objective.

Our Education Centre provides specialised tours for school parties which support the National Curriculum syllabus, and we also hold regular events and seminars for sixth formers and adults.

Use Gloucester Cathedral to develop the curriculum with all age groups. Visits support all curriculum areas, especially R.E., history and local studies. Cross-curricula trails available.

The Education Officer will discuss your requirements and tailor a tour to suit your needs.
