Guildford Cathedral

Guildford Cathedral

The Chapter of Guildford Cathedral welcome school children of all ages and backgrounds to learn about this modern centre of Christian worship.

Come and explore the last Anglican Cathedral consecrated on a new site, in 1961. Guildford Cathedral’s Schools’ Department is dedicated to making your visit memorable, experiential and educational.

How can we help?

Our Schools’ Programme consists of trails and workshops linked to the National Curriculum and, for R.E., the locally agreed R.E. syllabi for local surrounding areas. We can also tailor a visit to meet your needs.

Special Schools and Non-UK Schools are catered for with programmes designed specifically to match their needs.

The Schools’ Department work with primary and secondary school groups on programmes related to:

  • National Curriculum
  • Agreed syllabuses
  • Every Child Matters
  • Project-based curriculum

We are experienced teachers, children’s workers and guides who have all been through enhanced DBS clearance and safeguarding training. We recognise our legal duty to safeguard children and protect them from “significant harm”.
