Huathe - Bourne Wood

Huathe - Bourne Wood

By offering a variety of experiences in the outdoors - from Family Forest Days to Forest School Leadership and from targeted Forest Schools to  courses and special events- we engage a wide variety of people, to re-connect them to nature, and infuse them with our passion for the world around us.

Huathe is Carol Middleton and Elizabeth Appleton: qualified as Forest School leaders, teachers and Early years Professionals and experienced in mentoring and nature connection learning. Between us we have over 30 years of practice and we are based in East Anglia.

In 2010 we won the prestigious TACTYC (Training, Advancement and Co-operation in Teaching Young Children) award for our work using Forest School to support children’s transition in school and this year Elizabeh has been shortlisted for the Learning Outside the Classroom Awards for Innovatve Practice (http://www.lotc.org.uk/news-and-events/awards-for-outstanding-contributi...)
