Kingswood Dukeshouse Wood

Kingswood Dukeshouse Wood

One of the UK's leading outdoor activity centres

Dukeshouse Wood has had a whole raft of new adventure activity features installed to become one of the country’s leading residential activity centres. The activity park in the grounds houses many of these new additions including a quad bike track, zipwire, outdoor laser, Jacob’s ladder, an outdoor climbing and abseiling tower and leap of faith.

The new high ropes course includes exciting elements like high all aboard, jungle vines and high equilibrium, great for promoting confidence, team work and safely taking risks, whilst our 3G swing adds an exhilarating dimension to the activity park. These high-adrenaline experiences are contrasted with activities encouraging mental prowess and teambuilding, like team tech and indoor initiatives. When the weather is not so favourable, the centre also has a 8000 sq ft all weather barn housing indoor climbing, a laser arena and computer lab facilities.

Student Facilities

Dukeshouse Wood can accommodate 310 young people in multi-bed rooms, all with en-suite facilities.

Students sleep in warm purpose-built dormitory-style accommodation, with gender-separated bathroom and shower facilities. Sheets, duvets and pillows are provided for all guests. Teacher rooms are at the end of each corridor.

To fuel young guests during a long day of thrilling adventure activities, we serve three hot meals per day, with lots of choice and seasonal variations. Each day there is a carefully balanced nutritional meal plan, recently updated to meet and exceed the latest Government standards on children’s meals.

Teacher Facilities

Our recently refreshed teacher bedrooms are complete with contemporary furnishings, tea and coffee making facilities and radio-alarm/iPod docking stations.
