Magic Alley, the Creaky Cauldron and the Museum of Wizardology

Magic Alley, the Creaky Cauldron and the Museum of Wizardology

Welcome to the truly enchanting and magical world of the Creaky Cauldron, where every hour is the witching hour, but you don't need to be a card carrying witch to join in the fun!

Nestled in the centre of Stratford upon Avon, just yards from William Shakespeare's birthplace, you'll find us - a spooky, thrilling and unforgetable experience for the whole family. Whether it's Easter, Halloween, Christmas or just a boring Monday afternoon, let your imagination run riot as you step into another world!

We don't claim to be the largest attraction in Stratford, in fact far from it - the building is over 450 years old and spread over several floors which means that it is sadly not buggy friendly nor suitable for those with limited mobility. But it is the most magical experience imaginable!

Harry Potter fans will love browsing the Magical Stores of Magic Alley, packed to the rafters with real magic wands, spells, sweets and toys as well as official Harry Potter merchandise, before stopping off at the Golden Broomstick Coffee Shop & ButterBeer Bar for an ice cold Spiced Pumpkin Juice or one of Dr Thaddeus Bombay's Original Recipe ButterBeers.

Children of all ages, from 6 to 96, will love to explore the magical and spooky rooms and corridors of the Enchanted Manor Museum over the upper floors of this historic building.

Whatever the weather, it's always magical here in Stratford upon Avon at the Creaky Cauldron and Magic Alley! Widely regarded as England's most magical visitor experience, and the world's original wizarding attraction, it's like stepping into a "small but perfectly formed" world of entertainment, education, stardust and wonder...

So, just take two large cupfuls of imagination, a pinch of wonder with a dash of magical delight and a magical mirror. Add to a heady mixture of stardust and moonbeams, and stir well. Then step back and allow the magic to begin as you enter an enchanting world of storytelling based on the Chronicles of Wizard's Thatch series of books!

Casting A Spell In The Classroom

Join Dr Thaddeus Bombay and his team of magical helpers for a unique and humourous journey through twistory combining entertainment and education for those with a fertile imagination and an interest in the unexplained. Our team will weave a magical story for your students as they guide them through their visit to the Enchanted Manor and help them graduate as Field Agents from the Ministry of Time based in Wizard's Thatch.

When students are enjoying a lesson it shows. It shows in their attention levels, in the effort they put in and the results they achieve. Our Education Programme offers maximum educational value through unique and stimulating learning experiences.

Some of the best lessons are outside the classroom and it's amazing what you can achieve in just one day away from it! A school trip should challenge your pupils, fill them with enthusiasm and let them experience history and culture first hand.

Working in collaboration with practicing teachers and educational advisers, we have created a programme of events and activities for pupils. With so much to see and experience, and supported by our educational resources, we can provide an outstanding environment to stimulate your students' imaginations.

At Magic Alley we've got it covered: we can help with risk assessment, free teacher visits prior to your trip and educational resources to help you get the most out of the day. Importantly, your pupils can take part in various structured activities that are linked to the National Curriculum and specific programmes of study including creative writing, literacy, numeracy and science.

With pre-visit activities, and further reading and creative storytelling afterwards, when you arrange a visit to the Enchanted Manor your adventure lasts much longer than the time you are actually here.
