The new WWI exhibition focuses on the men & women of Newton Abbot, and the effect the conflict had on the lives of the town as a whole. Stories of ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, of Military medals, Nurses and Sisters, survivors and the fallen and how the town managed without their menfolk. 

The Sandford Orleigh ornately carved oak carvings are now on display to the public for the first time in over 180 years! They are thought to be the oldest Renaissance carvings in the UK!
