The Wye is widely acknowledged as one of the most beautiful rivers in the British Isles, and happily it’s also one of the few you can navigate without restriction, for over 100 miles! You might not want to go quite that far, though.

The navigable route meanders pleasingly through picturesque countryside as it strolls over to join the River Severn at Chepstow and is well populated with wildlife so be sure to brush up on your identifying skills for the inevitable cry of “what’s that?!”

See kingfishers, herons, cormorants, swans, and even otters, in their natural habitat, often swimming right along beside you! They will pick you up (Paddles and Pedals, not the otters) Free of Charge from one of the designated access points and return you to your car, so you can save all your energy for paddling!.

They do ask that you contact in advance if booking with children, they can discuss the age requirements and find the vessels which best suit your group.
