Sixfields Stadium, Worcester

Sixways Stadium is unlike any other development in the UK. A truly inspirational multi-purpose venue which is used 24/7, 365 days of the year. Home to both Worcester Warriors and Sixways Events, the amazing 65-acre complex is now one of the country's most exciting, dynamic and versatile venues.

Situated within striking distance of Junction 6 of the M5 and only a 15 minute drive from Worcester city centre, the 12,024 capacity stadium is the home of Worcester Warriors, the professional rugby union side. Since the professional era in rugby, the stadium has undergone a number of facelifts, firstly with the new West Stand, with indoor training centre, followed by the impressive South Stand and, most recently, the state-of-the-art Slick Systems Stand which holds 6,000 people on match days.

Education

Walk Like A Warrior is the Warriors' Flagship Community Programme. Now in its 4th year, this programme has had a positive impact on over 300 young people from 10 schools across Worcestershire.

The curriculum concentrates on developing and improving key skills/characteristics such as: teamwork, leadership, problem solving, communication, confidence and behaviour. Following participation in this programme teachers say that these skills significantly improve.

The programme is continually monitoring and evaluated to ensure it meets its objectives, is relevant and has a long term impact on the young people who attend.
