St Nicholas Park

St Nicholas Meadow was acquired by Warwick Borough Council and the formal gardens and the Children’s Corner were opened in the 1930s.

St Nicholas Park's activities attracts visitors from all over the Midlands as well as local people.

Things to enjoy:

  • Play – up-to-the-minute play areas.

  • Paddling pool – shallow, treated water. Please no dogs. Please note that the Paddling Pool is currently closed for maintenance work. These works should be completed in May 2014. 

  • Family occasion – stroll by the river, relax in the gardens, hire a boat.

  • Rides – roundabouts and a train for young children - see below.

  • Games – adventure golf (see below), giant chess, boules, basketball station.

  • Bikes, blades and boards – enlarged skate park and BMX track beyond sports hall.

  • Refreshments – popular café open all year round.

  • Gardens – colourful flowers, unusual trees, smooth lawns.

  • Boating – rowing boats and motor boats from Boathouse by Castle Bridge, Easter - October. Visit Warwick Boat Centre for more information.

Adventure golf and crazy golf
Adventure golf consists of 18 miniature greens with water and rock hazards on some of them. Plus a 9-hole crazy golf course.

Children'€™s Amusement Rides
The children's amusements is a small amusement park for toddlers up to about 12 years old. The rides work on a token based system.

Other activities on offer in this well kept and appealing parkland include: Modern play areas; paddling pool; rides; roundabouts and a train for young children; giant chess; boules; basketball station; and an enlarged skate park and BMX track beyond sports hall.

Then there's row and motor boating from Easter to October, and 2 senior football pitches, 2 hard tennis courts, and floodlit Astro turf.

Refreshments are available at the popular cafe open all year round.
They have toilets with baby-change and disabled facilities.
