Tain and District Museum

Tain and District Museum

Tain & District Museum is an independent, volunteer run museum in the North of Scotland. We serve the area of Easter Ross; helping to perserve and interpret our past and provide locals and visitors alike with a high quality experience when they visit.

View some of the many artefacts held in the museum Collection, including the Tain Silver Collection; a great favourite with everyone is our Image Library and new to our upgraded website is Articles where we intend to provide information on a variety of subjects covered in our exhibitions or provided by members of the public.

The museum has a mixed collection focusing on the history of Tain and the surrounding area. Of particular note are the collections of Ross archive material, photographs, and Tain silver.
