Tate Modern
Tate Modern
Tate Modern exhibits the best of modern art in an ever-rotating series of exhibitions on the south bank of the Thames.
Visit our website for full details of what's on right now at Tate Modern.
School visits to Tate Modern are free. There is, however, a charge for special exhibitions.
Book your visit
All groups must book in advance, whether visiting independently or taking part in a Tate-led session
The maximum size of a visiting school group at Tate Modern is 120 students. Please split larger groups of students into groups of about 20 to walk around the gallery.
Please also advise us of any gallery activities you would like to take part in and to book the cloakroom and packed-lunch room if required. (Please note that the lunchroom and locker facilities can only be booked by UKschool groups)
When you book a visit, please advise us of any specific access requirements members of your group may have (for example if they are blind or visually impaired, deaf or hearing impaired, wheelchair users or in need of mobility support, or have a learning disability).
