Wakelake
Wakelake
Wakelake was the first cable tow centre to open in the West Midlands, and is mainly dedicated to the exciting activity known as wakeboarding!
This is the sport of riding on a short, wide board (similar to a surfboard), and performing manoeuvres while being towed, in this case, by a cable tow.
There are 2 straightline cables, which are ideal for those new to the sport, plus 5 separate obstacles for more experienced riders who want to learn tricks!
It doesn’t matter if you and the kids haven’t wakeboarded before, as one of the instructors will meet you at reception and explain everything along the way. They also provide everything you need to ride, including wetsuits, life vests, helmets and wakeboards, so all you need is your swimwear. There is even a dedicated changing unit, with hot showers.
The centre offers rides on inflatable donut rings, which can be shared by up to 4 people, which is a fun activity, especially if it’s windy! They also have a dedicated water zorbing area in the bay behind the cables, which will entertain kids and adults alike.
