As well as a comprehensive annual activity programme, majoring upon all aspects of the development of canoe sport, the aim is to provide a varied range of sporting activities both on and off site. This will include the provision of curricular and extra curricular adventurous activities for schools and colleges focussing upon: Safety, Fun and Learning.

It is home to the Tree Top Way, an amazing walkway in the canopy of the trees. It also has a play area, cycle trails, some amazing ancient trees, and lots of space to explore!

There are lots of places to explore, cycle round and play in. You can build dens, look out for forest animals, or if you are really adventurous, go up the Tree Top Way. At the top of this amazing wooden walkway you can see right over Northampton and the surrounding countryside. The Forest Cafe is a great place to stop for an ice-cream or a bite to eat, and it's right next to the play area.

This former Northampton to Market Harborough Railway is now a car free ‘linear’ park surrounded by beautiful scenery and rich in natural and historical heritage. It provides a 14 mile long walking, cycling and in parts horse riding route. The stone surfaced path follows the old railway track bed and is suitable for both hybrid style and mountain bikes.

The Northampton and Lamport Railway Society also operate train rides along a short section of line at the former Pitsford and Brampton station.

Northamptonshire Archives hold a range of documents covering the history of our county from Norman times to the present day. The aim of the Heritage Education Service is to make this information accessible to school children of all ages.

The cathedral at Northampton is a commodious but unpretentious building designed by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin. It is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Northampton which covers the counties of Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and that part of Berkshire (formerly in Buckinghamshire) that lies to the north of the River Thames.

The Cathedral has been at the heart of the Northampton community since 1850.

Close to Nuneaton Railway station you will find Etone Sports Centre. The centre offers local people of Nuneaton a variety of different facilties, both indoor and outdoor and plays host to a number of different sports and activities.

Indoors you will find a sports hall that can offer five-a-side, basketball, netball, short tennis and badminton amongst other sports. There are squash courts available at the centre as well as a social room and changing facilities.
