The National Centre for Citizenship and the Law (NCCL) is currently offering 3 for 2 on educational activities at the City of Caves and Galleries of Justice Museum during May 2016. Bookings must be made by 30th April with a minimum group size of 20.
The NCCL provide inspiring and stimulating educational visits at the two venues for students of all ages with activities that are suitably challenging to all. Activities are curriculum-linked and can include History, Law, English, Geography, Drama, PSHE, Enrichment, British Values and Citizenship, Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) Development.
The City of Caves takes students on an archaeological journey under the cobbled streets of the city to discover how Nottingham dwellers once lived. Students visit sites such as a WW2 air raid shelter and the remnants of Drury Hill Victorian slums.
Across the road in the Galleries of Justice, students learn about Nottingham’s history of crime and punishment with tales of the murderers who once passed through the old county gaol that preceded the museum.
Tailor made visits can be booked by contacting the NCCL and quoting 'May Madness 3 for 2' on 0115 9939 811 or learning@nccl.org.uk.
