Suarez-style attack at Alton Towers

14-year-old Grace Dures was left with blood pouring from her shoulder after the bizarre attack at the Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire.

She had been waiting to go on the Nemesis Sub Terra ride when she accidentally bumped into the person standing next to her. Although she apologised, the middle aged man began swearing and then, when the lights had gone down ready for the ride, sank his teeth into her shoulder.

The youngster was left crying in pain and told her teachers about the attack.

Her father said the schoolgirl had been left "totally traumatised".

"This whole thing about Louis Suarez has been in the papers. It's just vicious and beyond me how someone could do something like that to a child."

Police said they would be reviewing CCTV footage to see if they could identify the man following the attack on Thursday.

Grace, a pupil at Deyes High School, Maghull, Merseyside, has been treated by her GP, but faces an anxious wait for tests to ensure she is clear of harmful diseases like HIV and hepatitis.

Uruguay striker Luis Suarez was banned from football for four months after biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini in a World Cup match in Brazil 2014.
