West Midland Safari Park: New Safari Academy

West Midland Safari Park will be launching their new Safari Academy in the summer which will feature five classrooms within a state-of-the-art eco building, designed specifically for visiting schools. The new education centre will provide interactive education for groups of all ages with a variety of activities, such as curriculum-linked guided tours and hands-on discovery sessions and workshops. Visitors will also be fortunate enough to experience close encounters with some of the Park’s smaller and friendlier animals! Explore their new website specific to educational visits to find out what activities the Park provides.

The Safari Academy will be located near the Park’s Hippo Lakes and there is a special discounted price for schools arriving by coach or mini bus. The admission charge in £9.50 for pupils and £10.50 for adults and free teacher places are available for all schools, with a higher ratio for SEND schools. There are also special prices to include the Theme Park rides, as well as group catering and gift shop goody bag options! The Park offers a fantastic initiative in which teachers can claim two free preview tickets to familiarise themselves with the attraction before taking their school group.

Additionally, it will also be home to accredited Level 2 and 3 animal care courses, holiday clubs, evening talks, conservation events, career days and even open days and clubs for teachers.

The Safari Academy will extend the education offering already in place at West Midlands Safari Park, which includes interactive tours of the Park’s walk-through areas and the option to have an experienced ranger on board the school’s coach as a guide whilst you explore the four mile Safari Drive Through.
