Winterbourne House and Garden

Winterbourne House and Garden

Restored to its former Edwardian glory, downstairs there are exhibition rooms explaining the fascinating history of the house's former occupants. An interactive train set, toy box and rooms full of antique artefacts. Outside, 7 acres of Botanic Garden to be explored and enjoyed.

The exhibition rooms tell the history of the family and their influence on Birmingham's social history. With lots of things to touch and play with, history comes alive - there's no keep-out rope in sight in our exhibition rooms!

Play dress-up with the costumes, expore the toybox and watch as the interactive train set tells you the history of John Nettlefold's impact on Edwardian Birmingham.

Education visits can also be booked and there are children's activities available during most school holidays.

Winterbourne offers a year-round programme of family events including an Edwardian Christmas complete with Santa, and Autumn festival with spooky trails around the house and garden.

The garden has over 6,000 plant species from around the world - and some chickens, rescued from a battery farm!
