A friendly start point for your cool new hobby: indoor climbing facility featuring dedicated and supportive kids' clubs, bouldering, lessons and taster sessions, abseiling, lead rope, slabs and overhangs.

Creation Indoor Climbing Centre boasts a variety of excellently equipped options and loads of ways to enjoy them, applying to all levels and ages!

The facilities include 100 lines of top ropes and lead climbing as well as a 6,000sq ft bouldering area, with everything ranging from simple routes to fiendish features like slabs and overhangs.

Older types can avail themselves of the Taster Sessions, One to One classes and lead climbing training, or throw themselves into it properly with a formal Intro To Climbing intensive course that’ll turn them to mountain goats within the week!

Crag Rats is the kids' club, designed and aimed specifically at young people over 6 who wish to take up climbing seriously.

Their tried and tested syllabus from Bronze to Platinum offers each climber the chance to learn every aspect of climbing, from tying a simple knot, to belaying with various devices, to abseiling, and more refined technique.

Cheeky Monkeys is the new club for 4 to 6 year olds. These sessions run at the same time as Crag Rats on a weekend but they have put on another instructor just for youngsters to the kids all get plenty of attention and support.

School Trips

Creation has become a firm favourite with school bookings. We work very closely with the local councils and have taught over 10000 individual students in the last three years.

There are huge benefits to climbing, whether it be teaching children responsibility, safety or overcoming fear. Along with the self achievement and personal satisfaction attained by climbing to to the top of our walls.

Over the past year Creation has tailor designed training packages for schools for entire terms. These packages include a complete syllabus that regular students can work through. It shows them all the basics required to start climbing, the safety issued involved, and then works through a carefully crafted programme to help the group work together as a team and reach their goals.

The school climbing sessions are designed to be fun but also educational. We have no school rules and there are no bad marks if you happen to get it wrong.

We cater for groups of all abilities including special needs. Our instructors work on a maximum ratio of 1:8, though be-spoke ratio numbers can be arranged if necessary. The group will not only climb the roped routes, but enjoy bouldering on our low level walls with safety mats, and also participate in abseiling.
