Beehive Farm Woodland Lakes
Beehive Farm Woodland Lakes
In this most southerly part of rural Derbyshire, Beehive Farm Woodland Lakes offers visitors lots of fun ways to enjoy a very special corner of the New National Forest. They have over 66 acres of emerging young woodland to explore with thriving wildlife, fishing lakes and a family-friendly animal farm.
Visitors are able to explore the beauty of this emerging woodland landscape using specially laid out trails. Following the trails, you will enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the three fishing lakes, the Horseshoe, Botany Bay and Jubilee, as well as discovering peaceful picnic areas surrounded by wild flowers.
Open all the year round, their walking trails join with the local network of footpaths to allow further exploration of the National Forest area, making the Beehive an ideal base. Well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on leads at all times. Ample car parking is available at the main entrance area.
On their small farm you can meet friendly farm animals including goats, donkey, pot-bellied pigs, Percy the peacock, and their much loved free range rabbits! They also have a sand pit so feel free to bring your buckets and spades.
If you're under 8 and full of energy, you can climb and slide around their playground. When you come, you will need to be with an adult and no dogs are allowed in the animal farm or playground. There are benches for the adults.
