Perth Cathedral

Perth Cathedral

Welcome to St Ninian’s Cathedral, situated in the fair city of Perth in the heart of Scotland and is in the diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane. St Ninian’s belongs to the Scottish Episcopal Church and is home to a lively, caring congregation of people from many different backgrounds. We share the belief that being human is a wonderful gift and rejoice in the diversity of God’s creation.

St Ninian’s Cathedral was built in 1849 and is now a category A listed building. You can see some of the remarkable features inside the Cathedral by clicking our virtual tour link. The Cathedral is open on Mondays to Thursdays from 9am until 3.00pm approx. It is closed on Fridays.

Visitors come to St Ninian’s most days of the week and are particularly welcome at our services. The Cathedral also makes its buildings and facilities available to the local and wider community including public & private ceremonies, concerts and other social events. Our recent project of restoration and renewal aims to realise the vision of a “Cathedral in the community” for Perth.
