Tenement House

Tenement House

The Tenement House provides a rare glimpse into life in Glasgow in the early 20th century, in the faithfully restored four-room house lived in by Miss Agnes Toward for over half a century.

School visits must be booked in advance by telephoning the property. Weekday mornings (March to October) are available for visits by school groups and other large parties.

The programmes for primary school visits consist of a guided tour and a handling session using a variety of old-fashioned household objects. Secondary school pupils have a guided tour and a session in the reception exhibition room for which worksheets can be provided for pupils studying history or geography.

There is a charge of £2 per pupil, except for schools which have Educational Membership of the National Trust for Scotland.
