This year’s Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (CLOtC) Conference will take place on Thursday 16th November 2017 at Ingestre Hall Residential Arts Centre.
CLOtC’s annual conferences provide attendees with the opportunity to keep up to date within the world of learning outside the classroom and network with others involved in LOtC. The conferences will include inspirational speakers reflecting on relevant LOtC topics and sharing their own experience of implementing high quality LOtC provision.
There will also be a series of practical and informative workshops to allow attendees to find out about more specific aspects of LOtC. CLOtC have listened to feedback from previous conferences and have increased the amount of time available for the workshops. Workshops will offer both practical and strategic sessions and will reflect the full scale of LOtC, including school grounds, farming and countryside, arts and creativity, heritage and natural environment.
On the evening of the conference, CLOtC will also hold their Awards for Outstanding Contribution to LOtC dinner. Nominations are now open and you can find out more information here. You can book for the conference and the awards evening online using this link. An early bird rate is available until Friday 21st July 2017, so get booking to take advantage!
The venue is a grade 11 listed 17th century mansion standing proud at Ingestre, near Stafford and is now used as a residential arts and function venue. Ingestre Arts provide residential arts education courses for primary secondary schools, academies, specialist arts colleges, youth and adult groups. Find out more about them here.
