Voting Now Open for the Awards for Outstanding Contribution to LOtC 2018

The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom have announced that the voting is now open for the annual Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Learning Outside the Classroom 2018.

CLOtC received a record number of nominations for the awards and the competition was fierce, but they are delighted to announce that they have chosen four shortlisted candidates for each category. The categories of the awards are LOtC Inspiring Educator, LOtC Innovator and LOtC Advocate and the nominees are listed here on the website.

The Awards for Outstanding Contribution to LOtC are an amazing opportunity to celebrate learning outside the classroom and to recognise those who have helped create fantastic LOtC experiences for young people. Kim Somerville, head of the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, explains that these awards aim to: “celebrate the people and teams who are transforming the lives of children and young people by providing or championing exciting and inspiring learning outside the classroom experiences. We want as many people as possible to vote for their local hero so they can get the credit they deserve.”

This year, the awards will be hosted at The Black Country Living Museum on Thursday 22nd November 2018.

Voting closes on 26th October 2018, so make sure to head on over to the CLOtC website and place your vote!
