Aberdeen Art Gallery

Inspiring Art and Music is a redevelopment project which will transform Aberdeen Art Gallery, Cowdray Hall and The Hall of Remembrance through significant investment in the fabric of the buildings, new exhibition and display galleries and improved facilities for visitors. There will be fresh opportunities to see the exceptional collections held in the Art Gallery and to access our unique cultural heritage.

This complex of buildings is held with great affection as a place for recreation, education, learning, reflection and inspiration. Many generations of local people first discovered art and culture in these buildings, through visiting exhibitions, listening to concerts, talks and lectures - inspiring a lifelong love of music, culture and heritage. But the complex has evolved in rather piecemeal fashion over its 127 year lifespan and the time is right to address this.
