Brixworth Country Park is a national showpiece for accessible countryside, providing access for all irrespective of physical or mental ability with features like easy access trails, and their wheel chair accessible bird hide.

There are unusual sculptures to capture their imagination as you walk round, and a sensory garden which particularly appeals to the younger ones.

Developed with Millennium Commission funding, the park is a national showpiece for accessible countryside – providing access for all irrespective of physical or mental ability and social or cultural background.

  • Three easy-access circular trails (electric buggies and wheelchairs can be hired, advance booking recommended).
  • Walk along the Brampton Valley Way, the nearby 14 mile linear cycle and walking route.
  • Meeting rooms available for hire suitable for business, events and birthday parties.

Things to Do at Pitsford Water

  • Fishing
    • Trout fishing. Bank and boat tickets available from the Lodge on Holcot Causeway (01604) 718350.
  • Sailing, windsurfing or canoeing lessons (April to October)
  • Pitsford Water Trail
    • Walkers and cyclists can enjoy a 7.5 mile (12km) circuit of Pitsford Water. Allow 2-4 hours walking and 1-2 hours cycling (depending on ability).
    • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the Pitsford Water Trail.
    • Cyclists are requested to respect other users of the Pitsford Water Trail - watch your speed, give way to walkers and warn of your approach.
