The Fergusson Gallery celebrates the life and work of the great pioneers of modern art and dance, John Duncan Fergusson and Margaret Morris.
Collections at The Fergusson Gallery principally focus on the life and work of the eminent Scottish Colourist John Duncan Fergusson and his partner, and modern dance pioneer and artist, Margaret Morris. This significant collection reflects their artistic output, and also includes rich archives, which give an unusually in-depth picture of this creative couple.
The collections were gifted in two major donations; the Fergusson Collection was donated by the J D Fergusson Art Foundation in 1991, following which the Margaret Morris Archive was gifted in 2010.
