Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary

Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary

A sanctuary caring for over 30 donkeys, plus 2 zeedonks, horses, and shetland ponies. There are also ducks and chickens to meet. Free to visit. Carrots available to feed to the animals.

Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary is a lovely place to take the kids to meet a load of donkeys, each with their own unique personalities and stories.

Many of the donkeys have been rescued and now have the chance to live comfortably and enjoy their lives, which is really great to see.

This is a non-profit making organisation that is based entirely on donations, so please do feel free to make a donation when you visit.
Other animals to meet include two zeedonks, called Tigger and Humbug, the gentle giant Turpin, one of the horses, a welsh pony, and 2 shetland ponies, called Katie and Tinkerbell.

Carrots are available at 50p per go to fee to these friendly animals, plus there are chickens and ducks wandering about too.

There is a great spot for a picnic, so you can make the most of your visit. You can even bring the family pooch with you, provided you keep it on the lead.
