REME Museum of Technology

REME Museum of Technology

The Mission of the REME Museum of Technology is to:
  • Preserve the heritage of the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers
  • To promote a broader understanding of the functions of the Corps, its interaction with society and its role of technical support to the Army
  • Provide an information source for members of the Corps, the public, researchers and educationalists
  • Collect, conserve, display and interpret objects relevant to this mission

Education is a core function of the Museum. We have a vibrant and evolving service with proactive and responsive staff. We take your ideas seriously, develop them into hands-on interactive workshops and activity sessions to suit the needs of your group.

KS2 Local History NEW Workshop

The KS2 Local History Workshop will explore what happened here in Arborfield, Berkshire and how it impacted on wider national events including both The First and Second World Wars. This session will include handling objects to explore key areas in depth and a walking workshop to look at local sites from medieval to modern day. The garrison’s First World War role in supplying horses to the front line will feature heavily within this workshop.
